I’D like - through your pages - to offer my sincere gratitude to the paramedics and customers and staff at Loch Fyne restaurant York who came to my aid last Saturday.
I collapsed in the restaurant during a meal, with what has now been diagnosed as a blood pressure problem.
Two customers, Martin and Mark (both locals I believe), provided immediate aid and support, and when the paramedics arrived (a Sherburn-in-Elmet crew) their care was simply superb.
I would also praise the selfless support and assistance from the restaurant manager and team - during a packed Saturday night service.
We were on a leisure trip to York and the kindness of your local folk was wonderful to witness.
How many diners would abandon their meals and their friends to come to someone’s aid so promptly - well, in York, the answer is there were many willing to do just that!
