ARE you feeling blue because no lover came for you? Or living it single and ready to mingle? Or maybe you need a spicy follow-up to your Valentine's date in York?

If so, The Strut Club is presenting the Stupid Cupid and Anti-Valentine's Day cabaret in The Den at Micklegate Social, at the top of Micklegate, on February 15, when doors will open at 7pm for "a really exciting night for York entertainment".

Revellers are invited to be "tickled pink by anti-Valentine's debauchery" in the form of magic, puppetry, drag and jazz, hosted by Magic Adam Baxter, from @notreallymagic, with sassy wit to match his cheeky magic tricks from 8pm.

York puppeteer Freddie Hayes will be performing The Freddie Show, starring her glamorous alter-ego, Doctor Love, and her trusty glove puppets, and the headliner will be drag princess and stand-up comedian Scarlet SoHandsome, the Best Alternative Act winner at the 2019 North West Comedy Awards, who specialises in "near-the-knuckle entertainment for the jovially insane".

The night also promises a mysterious blind date, followed by a raffle, with a chance to win a bottle of bubbly, and the entertainment will conclude with a jazz band, fronted by singer Rosina Orcharde. Tickets are available @strutclubcabaret and from eventbrite.co.uk/e/strut-club or on the door.
