A TEENAGER has been taken to hospital this morning after an incident in the New Earswick area of York. 

Police, ambulance crews and an air ambulance have attended the incident on Willow Bank.

A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said: "Officers were called to Willow Bank, York at around 8.50am this morning (Tuesday, 5 February) following a concern for the safety of a teenage boy at the location.

"Ambulance and the air ambulance also attended the scene and the boy was taken to hospital for treatment."

Anyone who witnessed the circumstances surrounding the incident is asked to phone North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting reference NYP-05022019-0086.

An eye witness from the area said that the air ambulance landed in the field between Woodland Place and Joseph Rowntree School.
