COLD weather which has dominated this week - and provided a perfect canvas for photographers to capture frost-covered scenes - looks set to ease with patches of rain expected tonight.

After a week of chilly weather which has seen a number of parents doing the school run with sledges in parts of the city, the weather is expected to clear, leaving clear skies tomorrow with sunshine developing. It is likely to be windy at first, but milder compared to the weekend.

Tuesday will bring a foggy start, bringing rain or drizzle for most in the afternoon.
