STRUGGLING with your New Year’s resolutions and in need of a boost?

We asked readers to send in their before and after weight loss success pictures to encourage others they can do it too.

And the result has been incredibly inspirational.

Ryan Rennison's story:

My name is Ryan Rennison I’m 22 and from Rawcliffe in York.

My before picture is the reason why I wanted to loose weight, after seeing this holiday photo from June I knew I had to do something. I have so far lost six stone since June.

I have done 4 different diets including slimming world and the military diet, but the most affective diet I have done is where you have a bowl of two Weetabix and semi skimmed milk for breakfast, a tuna salad for lunch and for tea you can either have chicken breast, rice, curry sauce and vegetables or chicken breast, vegetables and gravy. As for exercise I’ve just been walking my two dogs more. So far I haven’t bought different clothe sizes I’ve just noticed they are a lot more baggy on me.

Debbie Summer’s story:

My name is Debbie Summers, I’m 49 and live in Malton. I have lost six and a half stone weightloss. I go to Slimming World in York. I lost my weight over two and a half years. I love Slimming World and am so much happier and fitter since losing the weight.

Jane Edward’s story:

My name is Jane Edwards. I live in Rawcliffe, York. I have lost three stone and dropped from a size 16 to a 14 . I decided to lose weight to feel better in myself. Before I would say I ate a balanced diet, but now I eat a lot more fruit and veg and not much bread. I have tried a few different diets including an old one my mother got many years ago, which consists of lots of grapefruit and hard boiled eggs. I have upped my exercise from 30 mins to 60 mins everyday and do Pilates and light weights and continue to walk my dogs twice daily.
