Living in Huntington I am very aware of the limited public transport options currently available to residents in the area.
The Park & Ride number 9 service is very limited. The last one to York from Monday to Saturday is 9.30pm and on Sundays 5.50pm.
The only other option is the number 12 bus service which runs from Monks Cross shopping centre. Monday to Saturday the last one is at 6.10pm.
There is no service on a Sunday or public holiday.
My question is - will there be an improved public bus service to encourage people to use the multi-million pound community stadium?
Not everyone can rely on the use of a car and surely we need to encourage young people to be independent and utilise public transport when using the many facilities which will be made available to everyone?
