TRAIN services will not be affected by the improvement works being carried out on Scarborough Bridge, Network Rail has confirmed.
The footbridge is due to shut on Saturday, January 26, to allow the existing bridge to be removed and a new one to be put in its place, with works expected to last until March.
The new bridge will include a new path on the embankment, allowing more than 3,000 users to cross the bridge directly from York Station into the city centre.
