A YOUTH movement calling for a ‘People’s Vote’ on Brexit is bringing its battlebus to York city centre on Sunday.
A spokesman said Our Future, Our Choice was the ‘largest youth movement for a People’s Vote’ and it was launching a Battlebus Tour across Yorkshire.
“It will begin in York, with a day of campaigning around the city centre,” he said, adding that York Central MP Rachael Maskell was set to come down and meet campaigners.
“The country is firmly on the road to a People’s Vote,” he said.
“Driven by young people, this movement has rapidly gathered pace over the last few months.”
He said the battlebus was ‘famous from a ‘Brussels-based adventure’ in which it had run over a large copy of the withdrawal agreement, and it was adorned with the slogan:””Dear MPs. 77 per cent of us don’t want Brexit. Please stand up for our future. Signed, young people.”
OFOC chief spokesperson Femi Oluwole said: “We’re going up to Yorkshire to meet Rachael Maskell and show her how much young people want a People’s Vote.”
