A LEADING temperature and pressure instrumentation manufacturer has opened a research and development base in York.
Eurolec Instrumentation, based in the Republic of Ireland, says it is expanding its operation to mainland UK with the opening of the R&D Division at the York Science Park.
It said three members of staff were already based in the new division, having successfully established the base, with further expansion planned later this year.
"With the latest R&D investment, the company is now looking to provide Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for clients as part of an expanded product and service-based offering," it said.
Martin Williams, Eurolec Chief Engineer, said he was delighted to announce the opening of the York office.
He said it was located close to the University of York, which provided an 'excellent pool of talented engineers who were capable of creating the complex systems required.
The firm said it had 40 years’ experience in the design, manufacture and supply of quality portable temperature and pressure instrumentation which was exported globally.
