STRICTLY Come Dancing professionals Aljaž Škorjanec, Giovanni Pernice and Gorka Marquez will play Harrogate and Hull on their 38-date Here Come The Boys tour this summer.

Visiting Harrogate Convention Centre on June 25 and Hull Venue on July 17, the show has a club setting and a resident DJ, spinning a cutting-edge soundtrack of dance-floor anthems, club classics and guilty pleasures, while Aljaž, Giovanni and Gorka go head-to-head in a battle of Latin, ballroom, commercial and contemporary dance disciplines.

The audience will judge the contest each night, while the show also will feature live vocals from Elizabeth Troy, formerly with Clean Bandit.

On the road from June 15 to July 28, Here Come The Boys comes from the producers of the hit dance shows Rip it Up and Remembering Fred, with direction and choreography by Gareth Walker and his co-choreographer, Strictly professional dancer Janette Manrara.

Aljaž says: "Having worked on Strictly Come Dancing with Gorka and Giovanni for the past four years, I know we're going to deliver a truly incredible show for audiences all over the UK. And while we might all be the best of friends, the show’s competitive element means that there will be no love lost when we battle it out on the dance floor to win the audience vote. Serious bragging rights are at stake!"

Gorka adds: "The team behind Here Come The Boys are renowned for producing amazing shows, so I didn’t have to think twice about joining the tour. To be touring with Aljaž and Giovanni – not only two fantastic dancers but two of my best mates – is the icing on the cake. Gareth Walker and our fellow Strictly pro dancer Janette Manrara are both amazing choreographers, so we know they’ll be pushing us hard to bring out the very best from myself and the boys. We look forward to seeing everybody on the dancefloor."

Giovanni, by the way, is the Guinness World Record holder for jive kicks and flicks, performing 55 in 30 seconds in a challenge held on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two. Looking forward to the tour, he says: "I am so excited to be starring in Here Come The Boys with Aljaž and Gorka, two of the world’s greatest dancers. It really is a dream team scenario for all of us. I also know Aljaž and Gorka will really want to beat me, as they both secretly know I’m the best dancer. I can’t wait to be crowned champion every single night!"
