UNEMPLOYMENT in Yorkshire and the Humber has fallen by 115,000 since 2010 to 137,000, according to latest figures.
The unemployment rate in the region has fallen by almost half since 2010 to 5.0 per cent, according to the new Office for National Statistics data.
Meanwhile a 'virtual Twitter Job fair' is to be held by York and Ryedale Jobcentres between 1pm and 3pm on February 7, when employers will tweet their vacancies in the York, Ryedale and Selby areas on the Twitter site @jcpinhumber.
