MARK Walker has been elected the new president of Ye Fraternitie of Olde Selebians.
Mark, was introduced to membership of the group by his late father Kenneth, who was a long serving member.
He has been a member of the Selebians for three years, and is raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance during his year in office.
Mark, who was born in the town and worked in Cochrane’s Shipyard as a welder until its closure in 1992, succeeds John Eastwood to the presidency.
