A WOMAN has launched a social media appeal to find her lost locket, which contains photos of her late husband.

Judith Tyssen left her home in Stockton on the Forest at 7.40pm on Saturday and rode the Coastliner bus to Stonebow in York, before walking to The Edinburgh Arms.

Mrs Tyssen said: “When I arrived there I took off my coat and my chain fell to the floor and the locket was missing. I must have lost it on route.

“I retraced my steps to the bus stop and local shop and asked if anyone had handed it in. It was there when I put my coat on but once I got to the Edinburgh Arms, it had gone. The pub looked at the time and again on Sunday morning, but nothing, so it must have caught on my jumper and come off. I’ve contacted Coastliner and police and left messages but haven’t heard anything back yet.”

The locket is gold, but Mrs Tyssen said the only real value it had was sentimental, as it contained two photos of her husband Dave, who died suddenly almost twelve years ago from a brain haemorrhage.

She said: “They aren’t terribly clear photos because I wear my locket all the time, even in the shower, but you can definitely see it’s a man.

“It’s priceless to me. My husband actually gave it to me years before he died and I had pictures of our put dog in it, which he thought was great, but when he died, I put pictures of him in and I wore it all the time to it’s of great sentimental value.”

The locket is gold and oval in shape, with a pattern on one side and plain on the other.
