Security warning after house burgled in York
POLICE have appealed for information after a burglary in York.
North Yorkshire Police said a house in Otterwood Lane, Foxwood, was burgled at about 5.30am on Sunday.
A spokeswoman for the force said two mobile phones, a laptop and several tools had been stolen in the burglary, and the thieves had entered the house through the adjoining garage.
Police have urged residents to ensure their homes are securely locked and report any suspicious activity in the area.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious, or who has CCTV footage covering the area is urged to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111 quoting job 134 of Sunday, January 20.
