TWO vehicles were seized by police during an operation to protect rural land.
North Yorkshire Police's Tadcaster Neighbourhood Policing Team, along with Rural Watch members, saw two vehicles at about 10.45pm on Thursday, January 17, which were believed to have been driven in fields around Acaster Malbis.
A police spokesman said two offenders ran from the scene and were believed to have been picked up by two waiting vehicles and driven in the direction of Bishopthorpe at speed.
