TICKETS are on sale now for this year’s Lord Mayor’s Valentines Ball.

The ball will be held at the National Railway Museum on Saturday, February 16, and will raise money for the Lord Mayor's three chosen charities.

Cllr Keith Orrell's charities for 2019 arethe York Blind Society - which supports people in York with a visual impairment - The Island - which helps mentor vulnerable children - and the York Music Hub - which provides inclusive opportunities for disadvantaged children to learn music.

Cllr Orrell, said: "This year’s ball promises to be a real spectacle, filled with live entertainment. Guests will have an excellent night, enjoying lovely food and helping us to raise money for these three deserving causes. There can be no better or more unique valentine’s gift for your loved one, than taking them out for an unforgettable evening whilst supporting local charities."

Entertainment will include an indoor croquet lawn, a nine-piece band, a casino, a raffle and an auction.

Tickets cost £70 per person and are available at lordmayoryork.co.uk and include a drinks reception and four-course meal.
