ON THE RISE: Ron Jrs photo, which was described as showing the sun setting over Whitby, actually shows the sun rising, says reader Ray Theakston
THE Press Camera Club picture in the newspaper on January 14 of the lovely sunset at Whitby is actually a shot of the sun rising.
Readers may be interested to learn that the mouth of the River Esk faces north and the camera shot is taken looking easterly.
Most will think the harbour faces east, but no, it faces north.
