FISHERGATE Local History Society's first talk of the year will be looking at the historic connection between Fulford and writer Jane Austen.
Society member Allan Francis will be giving an illustrated talk on the links he has researched between Captain Anthony Lefroy, Barrack Master at Fulford Cavalry Barracks and the Pride and Prejudice author. The talk, this Saturday, at St Oswald’s Church Hall, Main Street, Fulford, starts at 10am and ends with refreshments and discussion by noon.
Entrance is £1 for members and £2 for non-members.
