RESIDENTS have been urged to ensure their homes and garages are secure following an attempted burglary.
North Yorkshire Police said thieves tried to break into a number of garages at the side of The Comus Inn, in Selby Road, Camblesforth, between 1.30am and 5.30am on Monday, January 14.
A spokesman said: "Offenders have removed a fence panel to gain entry to the location and forced the roller shutter door on the garage."
Anyone who saw anything suspicious, or who has information which could help police should phone 101 quoting reference 12190008177.
