POLICE held a 'pop-up surgery' in York on Monday.
Officers and members of the York BID Street Rangers were present in Marks & Spencer and Kings Square to offer safety and security advice, and free property marking.
PC Franky Myers said the latest event was part of a series of surgeries which were deliberately positioned in response to concerns from businesses and residents.
PC Myers said: "We are hoping to give people the chance to come and speak to us directly rather than just seeing us walk past you on patrol and missing an opportunity to ask that important question, or pass on that important information directly.
"You are also likely to see York BID Street Rangers with us. It takes partnership working to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour, and information from the public helps us be in the right places and at the right times, so please come and speak to us."
