SHOPPERS had the chance to learn more about how police protect the public and stop terrorist attacks at two major shopping centres in York on Saturday.
Specially trained officers from North Yorkshire Police were at Monks Cross Shopping Centre and nearby Vangarde Centre to talk to the public about their work and how shoppers can help them.
It was part of the nationwide Operation Servator anti-terrorism initiative.
