A LANDMARK hotel in North Yorkshire has been sold to a new leisure brand.
The Mount Hotel in Scarborough has been bought by Bike and Boot Inns, led by industry specialists Simon Rhatigan and Simon Kershaw.
It was previously owned and operated by the Lothian family from Glasgow for several years, who decided to sell in order to relocate back to Scotland. The hotel, which is currently closed, was on the market at an asking price of £2million.
Bike and Boot Inns plan to undertake significant investment, alterations and upgrades to the 50 bedroom, five-storey hotel, with The Mount to reopen, fully refurbished and rebranded, in the summer.
