A FIRE in the open in a North Yorkshire village is believed to have been started deliberately by youths.
A crew from Tadcaster were called to the fire off Finkle Street in Sherburn in Elmet at about 9.10pm yesterday (January 10).
It was a fire to wooden pallets and plastic measuring under five square metres.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "This was believed to have been caused deliberately by youths."
The crew used a knapsack sprayer to put the fire out.
