Stephanie Stead, MBE, was honoured in the New Year's honours list.
A YORK College construction tutor has received an MBE in the Queen's New Year's Honours list.
Stephanie Stead received the award for her services to the Architecture and Construction industry.
She said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have received the MBE for my services to the construction industry.
"I hope the students at York College will be inspired and consider construction as a career whether as a designer or constructor.”
Elsewhere, Stefanie is the director of Stead & Co architects and is also a former Chair of the Construction Industry Council (CIC) Yorkshire and Humber.
