A SENIOR executive will leave the workhouse for the mansion later this month.
James Etherington is currently director of Ripon’s Workhouse, Courthouse and Prison and Police Museums.
On January 24, he leaves to take up a similar position at Kiplin Hall and Gardens near Richmond in Swaledale.
He said: “It wasn’t an easy decision to make, but I felt now was a good time to move on as the museums are in a really strong position at present.
“It has been a real privilege to work with everyone at Ripon Museum Trust for over three years and I am grateful for the opportunity”.
