POLICE arrested a wanted man after stopping a car on the A1 in North Yorkshire yesterday.
North Yorkshire Police said officers arrested a 20-year-old man who was wanted on suspicion of assault and theft.
The man was travelling in a car which police stopped on the A1 southbound at Boroughbridge shortly before 2pm, the force added.
It said the man has since been released on conditional bail.
