A CAR crashed into a lamppost and a set of traffic lights at a busy junction in York this morning (January 8).
The collision happened on Water End at the junction with Salisbury Road.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said the crash involved one car and was reported to the force at 10.10am. She added that the car had hit a lamppost.
The spokeswoman confirmed that no serious injuries were sustained.
York Travel, the official travel feed from City of York Council, tweeted: "RTC junction of Water End/Salisbury Terrace. Significant traffic signal damage on Water End westbound approach. Delays in the area."
