I have been a big fan/admirer of the BBC’s Fiona Bruce for many years.
I think she is the best news broadcaster, the best presenter of The Antiques Road Show and a very good host of Fake Or Fortune.
She is professional, calm, pleasing on the eye, fair, well- spoken and knows what she is talking about.
I think it is a shame that she has been chosen to replace David Dimbleby as host of Question Time in 2019, however. She is too nice a person to be involved in the “bear pit” environment of that highly-charged programme, where some of the “panel” are unsavoury persons and often the audience is very biased. She might prove to be a success, but I would prefer that she was not put in this new position. Please BBC management choose someone else.
