YELLOW weather warnings have been issues as Storm Deirdre hits Denbighshire as well as parts of Conwy and Gwynedd.

The Met Office issued the warning for snow and ice on Saturday, expected to last until 9am on Sunday.

At about 11am the high winds, and wet and windy weather, was named Stormed Deidre by the Met Office on social media.

While other parts of the country have been issued with more severe, Amber warnings, the public is still being warned of possible travel delays on roads, with the potential of stranding some vehicles and passengers.

There could also be possible delays or cancellations to rail and air travel.
