RESIDENTS in a York village have been urged to report any sightings of a suspected charity fraudster.
North Yorkshire Police received a report from a resident in Strensall at 4.30pm on Thursday that a man without official ID was going door to door, claiming to be working for a charity and asking for money.
A spokesman said he also asked residents whether they were going to be in over Christmas.
He was described as white, 45 to 50 years old, with grey hair, a light-coloured jacket, red clipboard and dark trousers.
