A 98-YEAR-OLD pedestrian was seriously injured when she was hit by a car in York.
North Yorkshire Police have appealed for witnesses to a crash, when the woman was struck by a BMW X5 in Heworth.
Police said the woman was injured at 10.40am on Thursday, December 13, in East Parade at its junction with Harcourt Street.
She suffered head, chest and abdominal injuries and was taken to York Hospital for treatment. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to the scene, along with paramedics and police.
