A VILLAGE near Selby has raised £715 for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service’s (YAC) charitable fund, which supports community first aid training and defibrillators.
The charity was nominated by Paul Mudd, YAS divisional commander, after he switched on Burn’s Christmas lights last year, with fund-raising events held over the past 12 months.
Burn Parish Council chairman Chris Phillipson said: “What a great amount for our small village."
The cash was handed over to YAS chair Kathryn Lavery and Paul at the village pub,The Wheatsheaf.
