SANTA will find a home from home when he visits one family in North Yorkshire.

Trevor and Paulyn Imeson have transformed their house into an eye-catching celebration of Christmas in Moorgate Plantation, Blind Peace Lane, Sessay.

The grandfather said it had taken him and his daughter Lynda two to three weeks to put the display together, involving thousands of bulbs and twinkly lights, to the delight of his grandson Josh.

“We have done this for year - about 20,” said Mr Imeson, 73, who has lived at the property for 60 years.

He said he hoped to raise at least £500 for two worthy causes through donations from people coming to see the display.

“Half of the money raised goes to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the other half foes to the Forces Children’s Trust to help children and mothers whose husbands have been killed.”

The winter wonderland features festive illuminations, a large nativity scene, Christmas trees and reindeer.

The display will be on show until January 6.
