Should we ban cars within the city walls?
I was waiting for the No 6 bus leaving Tesco Clifton Moor at 9am and 20 minutes later I was still waiting, wet and cold.
I went home, rang for a taxi, and was told one was unavailable for at least 20 minutes.
I flagged down a car but the driver was not going to town.
Eventually I ran to a neighbour who is almost as old as I am and he gallantly got out his car.
On Clifton Bridge and Leeman Road traffic was queueing all the way, so I walked the last lap, it was quicker.
I was late for my coach, obviously. But so was it - held up by traffic on the other side of York.
Poetic justice!
