The A19 has now reopened after of a crash on the road near Crockey Hill.

North Yorkshire Police said they were called to the scene at 12.50pm after reports of a three vehicle collision.

A spokesman for the force said: "Officers are at the scene after reports of a Road Traffic Collision on the A19 near Crockey Hill.

"The Road is blocked in both directions and drivers should avoid the area if at all possible."

In a tweet North Yorkshire Police said that the roasd will be closed for 90 minutes whilst vehicles are recovered.

A spokesman for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "One patient was taken to hospital but it is not believed to be serious. 

"Two other people were checked over on the scene but didn't need to go to hospital."
