THIS video gives an idea of just how packed Parliament Street was at times today as York's beautiful Christmas market attracted huge crowds.
It took our reporter - and everyone else in a long line of pedestrians - a minute to shuffle along a short stretch of the city centre street near Marks & Spencers during the afternoon.
It was even more crowded in the aisle between two rows of stalls in the market.
But at least the crowd managed to keep moving - sources have suggested that people could hardly move for up to ten minutes in the street last Saturday.
Shoppers were mostly patient and good-natured today, with just the occasional grumble.
*Enochlophobia means a fear of crowds.
