Police are patroling villages near York after attempted break-in
POLICE have been patrolling villages near York after burglars attempted to break into a house.
North Yorkshire Police said someone tried to enter a house in Elvington Park, Elvington, by tampering with a door between 9am and 3pm yesterday.
"The local police team are patrolling Elvington and neighbouring villages," said a spokesman. "Please do not hesitate to dial 999 or 101 should you see any suspicious activity."
