A YORK solicitors’ firm has won further recognition for its socially responsible ethos.

Last month, Roche Legal was named the Socially Responsible Business of the Year at the 2018 Press Business Awards.

Now its community work has won it the 2018 Raising the Bar Community Award in the small business category from the West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.

Solicitor Melanie Pickering said: “Roche Legal are always looking for ways to support our local community while continuing with our commitment to give a voice to the elderly and vulnerable.

“We are passionate in our support of charities whose causes are close to our hearts and determined to raise awareness of the fantastic work they undertake, both locally and nationally.”

All staff at the firm are Dementia Friends.

It supports nine charities through its annual WillAid programme every November: Action Aid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, SCIAF, Sightsavers and Trocaire.
