Burst lorry tyre causes A64 traffic problems
A LANE of traffic on the A64 was blocked after a lorry tyre burst.
North Yorkshire Police were called to the eastbound carriageway at about 1.30pm on Thursday after a tyre on the Volvo articulated lorry burst, leaving it resting on its wheel rim in the inside lane, close to The Buckles Inn.
Police remained at the scene until a tyre replacement service could be sent to assist, and the lane remained blocked for three hours.
