POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a cash machine was damaged in York.
The incident happened at the Co-op on Tang Hall Lane around 3.30am.
In a statement, North Yorkshire Police said: "We were called to the Co-op shop on Tang Hall Lane at around 3.30am today.
"Enquiries and forensic tests are currently taking place."
Officers are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area, or who has any other information that could help the investigation, to call 101 quoting reference number NYP-06122018-0039.
