A NEW charity event being held this weekend will see St Leonard’s Hospice take over Energi Trampoline Park York for 24 hours of themed jumping fun.
York’s First Big Christmas Jumper, at the attraction on York Business Park, kicks off at 5pm on Friday with a launch party and ‘meet the mascots’ event and ends at 5pm on Saturday with live music and a goodbye from the mascots.
The 24-hour bounce-athon will raise vital funds for the hospice, on Tadcaster Road.
Each hour will have its own theme, ranging from 'Big Christmas Hits', 'Disney' and 'Pyjama Party' to 'The Greatest Showman’, ‘keep fit’ and ‘beats and UV.’
There will also be refreshments available and a tombola, raffle and Santa’s Grotto on the Saturday between noon and 2pm, and 3pm and 5pm. There are limited spaces on each session and prices start from £4.95 per person, depending on the session.
Sarah Atkinson, fundraiser at St Leonard’s Hospice, said: “We’re really excited about this new event and hope lots of people will want to come and bounce with us. There should be a session that appeals to everyone. We also encourage you to raise even more money for the hospice by asking friends and family to sponsor you.”
