A POLICE officer has been sacked after he was found guilty of drink-driving and being in possession of a knife without good reason.
PC 2321Tyler-Jones, of Humberside Police, was dismissed with immediate effect at a misconduct hearing yesterday, after a misconduct panel found his actions amounted to gross misconduct.
Tyler-Jones, who pleaded guilty back in September at Grimsby Magistrates' Court to being over the prescribed limit and being in possession of a lock-knife, was off-duty at the time off the offences. He had been removed from duty during the investigation.
