A PUBLIC meeting will be held this week for residents to find out more about the proposed Hungate Community Centre.
Hungate Community Development Trust will be on hand at The Black Swan in Peasholme Green from 7.30pm on Thursday, December 6, to speak with residents and locals.
The public will be able to find out more about how the community centre will be used, discuss the possibilities for the site, and who will run the venue.
Gordon Campbell-Thomas, chairman of the trust, said: "This is an opportunity for local residents to have a say.
"All are welcome, and you don’t have to live on the Hungate site to participate. We have been waiting 16 years just to get to this stage, one more year and there could be a truly vibrant and dynamic community based centre serving the needs of local people in and around Hungate"
