POLICE searching for a missing York man have found a body in the River Ouse.
North Yorkshire Police tweeted that officers had been searching for Roger Beadnell, who was aged in his late 70s and last seen leaving his home in Bede Avenue, Clifton, at around 9am today (December 4).
It said officers had found a body which had not been formally identified, but added that Mr Beadnell's family had been informed.
The force thanked people for their help with the appeal.
