AN EAST Yorkshire town has pledged to retain its Post Office.
East Riding of Yorkshire Councillors attending the Full Council in Beverley in November voted unanimously in support of a motion to retain the Beverley Crown Post Office on its present site, rather than move it into the town's WH Smith store.
Councillor Kerri Harold said: "We are determined to do all we can to keep the post office where it is. Relocating to the WH Smith store is just not an option for a town the size of Beverley."
