A YORK rapper and master of ceremonies has reached new heights after performing at an exclusive hotel in Las Vegas.

Keon Hill, who goes by the stage name Keon Artist, swapped the street of Swinegate where he regularly performs in Vudu Lounge bar to party and perform in ‘Sin City’.

Mr Hill performed at the marquee nightclub Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on November 18 after being invited by the company Visual Artform who have worked with the likes of Black Eyed Peas and work at venue Ushuia in Ibiza.

Keon said that this gig was a dream come true and something that he had been building up towards throughout his 10 years in the industry.

He said: “It's been a goal of mine to take what I do abroad. Creating energy and an atmosphere with crowds from different backgrounds is always interesting but a good vibe and good music is all some people need.

“After playing in places like Greece, Crete, and Sunny Beach in Bulgaria I decided to try and take my career to the next level, travelling around America and building contacts.

“Last year I travelled to America and toured with American artist 'the game' for a while.

“It was a fun experience and all part of building up my profile that leads to better chances in the music industry.”

Between performing across the pond and at Vudu on a Thursday night with DJ James Kelly, Keon performs to the crowds at his residency over the summer at the Candy Club in Malia.

However, as 2019 approaches he is relishing the opportunity to perform in Vegas again.

He said: “I am returning to Vegas in the spring and there are many more announcements lined up.”
