EMERGENCY services dealt with a serious crash on the A1(M) northbound in North Yorkshire today.
It happened between junctions 48 (Boroughbridge) and 49 (Dishforth).
All emergency services attended the crash.
Highways England said the crash scene has now been cleared.
A women was taken to hospital. The extent of her injuries are not known.
In a statement, North Yorkshire Police said: "We responded to a serious Road Traffic Collision on the A1 Northbound between junction 48 and 49 involving one vehicle.
"A women was trapped in the upturned veicle."
North Yorkshire fire service added: "We assisted the ambulance service in releasing one person from a vehicle who was trapped due to the car being on its roof.
"Crews used manpower and stabilisation equipment."
The police confirmed that the road was reopened at 1.30pm.
