OUR Camera Club members have put our furry and feathered friends centre stage this week – and captured their antics in black and white to tie in with this month’s competition theme.

Whether taking a portrait of an animal or a human, the key to creating a cracking image is to capture the subject’s personality.

Lucy Rhodes has done just that with this fun snap of a dog wearing sunglasses. One to bring a smile to our faces in these cold, wet, November days.

Well done also to Michelle Swallow for her picture of a lemur. If looks could talk, this fella is surely telling us to take our gaze elsewhere!

And what’s this cat up to? That’s the questioned posed by Paul Anthony White in his photo, one of many great shots posted by Paul on to our Facebook page this week.

Mark Hill has managed to get a great shot of an owl coming in to land, while Brian Hughes has caught a hare in flight.

And well done to newcomer Kirstine Vercoe for her submission too.

This month’s competition – on the theme #blackandwhite – will run until the end of the month and winners will be announced soon afterwards.
