A TOTAL of £298 has been raised for the British Legion by people living in Haxby and Wigginton.
On Remembrance Sunday, November 11, Haxby and Wigginton Local History Society in association and Haxby Town Council put on a display of artefacts and documentary evidence relating to the men from both Haxby town and Wigginton village who served their country in the First World War.
A collection was taken on behalf of the legion at the event.
