THE Lord Mayor of York dropped in on pupils at a York primary school to see the work they've been doing on plastics.
Cllr Keith Orrell has been campaigning and raising awareness about the damage single use plastics have on the environment for years and has been using his year in office as Lord Mayor to try and push for more action on the issue.
At Badger Hill Primary Academy- which is in the Pathfinder Academy Trust - children have been doing projects on the reduction of single use plastic and the re-use of plastic articles to make objects to use and sell.
Cllr Orrell called in at the school to find out about their work and and speak to pupils and staff.
